** Update 9/14/17 – two years later this power bank is still going strong. It has outlived all the others I have had. It still charges my phone twice in one charge! I love it.
As a blogger and a mom of 3 busy kids I am constantly on the go or on a device checking what I need to do next. I attend and cover quite a few events in Chicago and the surrounding area so it’s important that my devices are always charged and ready to go. That is harder than it sounds! A lot of the apps I need for my blog work use a lot of power. My hotspot also uses a lot of power. I have tried quite a few different external power banks/chargers but none could really charge my devices fully or they just stop working. Basically they couldn’t live up to the amount of use I required.
I have been using the Justin 5,200mAh Power Bank with LCD Display for a few months now. I went into the review with skepticism that it would be yet another power bank that my devices would make into a brick. I am happy to report that is not the case.
It can actually charge my phone 3 times over or my phone once and my iPad once. That is fantastic. Most power banks can’t even charge my phone, nevermind my phone AND my iPad. I have also gone a week without using it and when I turned it on it was at the same charge. It didn’t discharge at all. That is a major problem with the others my family owns. You are constantly charging them. Another bonus is the LCD display. I can see immediately how much charge I have and I have actually learned using it how many charges I have left. It’s the perfect size, it doesn’t get too hot so I can pop it in the little pocket of my purse and be good to go. I actually use it more than I use the wall plug. When I am working and listening to music I use the bluetooth to play the songs from my phone which also drains your battery a lot so I plug the power bank into to keep the charge going on my phone. When it’s done charging it just shuts off so you can’t overcharge your device.
This is the first power bank I have used that has actually lived up to it’s claims. I have found that you pretty much get what what you pay for so instead of purchasing a whole bunch of cheap ones that will just die on you, I highly recommend spending a little money on one that will last and be reliable. Amazon.com has loads of other Justin products that I am definitely going to be looking into purchasing for my kids at Christmas.
