Thank you Frito-Lay for sponsoring this post. This spring, try the new twist on seasonal snacking!

As a long time Cheetos fan I was ecstatic when I found out they were making a cinnamon version of my favorite snack! I missed my chance last year but this year I was going to get myself a bag! Cheetos, the masters of cheese, have brought back Sweetos cinnamon sugar snacks just in time for the Easter season. Sweetos snacks swapped the signature Cheetos cheese flavor for delicious, cinnamon-sugar puffs for the first time in the in U.S. market in the brand’s nearly 70 year history. As the most asked about snack for the brand last year, the Cheetos brand has brought the sweet treat back to give seasonal sweets lovers an alternative to the traditional Easter candy treats, but only for a limited time! As a mom I love that because when I just cleaned out my pantry I threw out a lot of uneaten Easter and Halloween candy.

Each Easter, Americans purchase more than 120 million pounds – 60,000 tons – of candy animals according to the Statistic Brain Research Institute. That is crazy. I am not a huge fan of chocolate so that blows my mind. The Cheetos brand and Chester Cheetah believe it’s time for a change.

Unlike me, a lot of Americans, two-thirds (65%), love Easter treats according to a recent survey conducted by the Cheetos brand.  71% of parents (with children under 18 living in their household) say they eat out of their children’s Easter baskets – my husband is included in the 71%. The same survey found that I am also not alone. That a vast majority of Americans think that Easter candy is overrated. I agree. The survey also found 72% of Americans who eat candy animals each Easter season eat the ears off chocolate bunnies first while 25% make it quick and eat entire marshmallow chicks all at once. Oh the horror. While they are fun, marshmallow and candy animals have become old news. It’s time for a change!!

I, for one, would much rather a basket full of Sweetos snacks. They are light, fluffy and have a HUGE flavor that I love. I mean, who doesn’t love cinnamon sugar? If you are like me and want something new and different for Easter, beg your family for Sweetos snacks. Don’t be like me last year and miss out! Do your part and save all those adorable chicks and bunnies. As always I am Team Chester on this one. Sweetos snacks are the new treat that needs to appear in those Easter baskets.

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
