This little monkey (Liv) was born at 31 weeks, 9 weeks early. She gave me a MAJOR wake up call to being a new mama. My two older kids were a breeze, but my middle child (Gill)… essentially cried for 4 months thanks in part to a nerve disorder. I am pretty sure Liv didn’t sleep until she was 2. I am not quite clear about it all since it’s pretty much a memory fog.
One particularly sleep-deprived morning, I managed to get her up, dressed and fed by 8:30 am. The older two were off at school, and I put Liv on her mat with her toys and finally got to breakfast for myself. I was going to make coffee and cereal… easy right? Apparently not. 10 minutes later I had put the milk in the cabinet, the cereal in the fridge and poured my coffee in my cereal. The sad part is that I had taken two bites of my cereal before I noticed.
It’s comforting to know that I am not alone. Womensforum.com and Huggies OverNites Diapers teamed up to collect Confessions Of Sleep-Deprived Parents. Looks like some are just as weird as mine!
Huggies was always the brand of choice in our household. I was so thankful when I discovered Huggies OverNites. It was just one less thing to worry about when you can barely remember to change out of your sweatpants or how to spell your own name. OverNites helped me immensely. Less laundry and a happy baby in the morning that can make any mom smile.
