We all have our favorite holiday movies. They are parts of our past, things that make the holiday season FEEL like the holiday season. I don’t know about you, but with the stores and retailers starting the holidays earlier and earlier every year it’s hard for me to get into the spirit. Luckily I still have kids so they help me find my spirit!
As the end of the year fast approaches, there’s nothing better than spending time with your family getting in the holiday spirit. Whether you’re curling up on the couch with loved ones and catching up on a few flicks or binge-watching your favorite TV show, XFINITY OnDemand has everything you need to entertain this holiday season.
They have an awesome collection of movies from my husband’s favorite A Christmas Story to my kids favorite How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
Just in time for the holidays, XFINITY is loading tons of episodes of TV’s most popular shows onto the OnDemand system so you can catch up before winter finales. Binge-watching marathon, anyone? My kids and I have been doing that during December break for as long as I can remember. We get so busy shopping and getting ready for the holidays we don’t have time to watch all of our favorite shows. The kids and I pick a day (or two depending on how cold it is) to get all caught up. We make comfort food, grab our warm blankets, stay in our pjs and settle in. It’s awesome. They are getting older and I don’t get very many days like that any more. (You can access all of Nielsen’s top 100 cable and broadcast shows via XFINITY On Demand across all devices via the TV Go app and On Demand website. For many of these top shows, you can find every episode from the current season!)
This week, we were having a particularly rotten day as a family, so I decided we all needed a break. I rented How A Grinch Stole Christmas, made some hot cocoa, grabbed our favorite popcorn and just relaxed. It was definitely what we needed. Being able to do that so easily and quickly was a huge relief, we didn’t have to go out in the cold to get the movie plus I noticed if I want to I can buy it! We lost our dvd copy awhile ago.
Our Grinch break!!!
(excuse the blurriness of the pic, my little one insisted it was best to watch it by tree light :))
One more neat thing I want to mention…..having a little too much family time? Family taking up the TV while you’re trying to catch up on your shows? Have a long drive to the family Christmas party? My favorite thing is the updated video streaming on the TVGo app! Luckily, the TV Go app allows you to download your shows and watch them wherever you’d like (like hiding under the blanket in your room…). Best of all, you can take them on the go to entertain you during a long trip home. No more excuses for not being caught up on your favorite fall shows!
I have been catching up on my Once Upon A Time. The screen is clear and it is awesome to have it right on my iPad to watch when I have a spare moment here and there! These are screenshots right from my iPad.
