My daughter is part of our local high school’s technical theater department. I am extremely proud of her and her entire techie crew. A lot of them have been together for years, since 6th grade, and they are now Sophomores. They work hard. They work long hours, some days it even rivals an adult’s full time job. In celebration of their last night of the play Argonautika we held a little before play party.
Kids like simple. These kids have awesome palates but they also need to carb load because they are so active running back stage. They never sit still even when they are running the under stage area. When we went to the show later I was so impressed at the set they built. It did not look like a high school level set that is for sure.
My husband is the official chef in our house, I am more of a baker. He came up with two awesome recipes that would incorporate Ritz Crackers to add flavor to our dishes.

They were a hit at our house. We decided that these recipes would be awesome for the kids and the get together before the show. They were healthy, filling and would give the kids lots of energy without loading them down.
We started them out with a few appetizers they snacked on while play video games in the living room waiting on the main course.
They cleaned us out! I loved it. My daughter said that her friends are going to be sad if they come over again and there is no Mr. Rattie cooking to devour.
It was a lot of fun having the kids here, the food was good and Bacon Flavored Ritz were a hit! I definitely think we will try and make this a new tradition.
