I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central for Revolution Foods. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
I am a mom who struggles to find well balanced, quick meals for my 7 year old. The problem with most of the meals on the market is they are FULL of nitrates and preservatives. She also has loads of food allergies, we think from being 9 weeks premature. I try to keep her away from any cookie type treats or sugary treats and drinks. Well, that is hard to come by in the stores now. Sad, but true. We had to stop buying her lunch at school because she was having massive allergic reactions to foods and we still have no idea what was causing the reaction. So with all my blogs and work plus the massive fibromyalgia flare I have been going through in the past few months, time is scarce. I need something to grab quick in the morning but know she will be ok eating it. When I was given the chance to try the Revolution Meal Kits honestly I was skeptical. We have tried a few of the other types of natural food kits and she wasn’t a fan. I really “hoped” she would like them but didn’t hold my breath. Well, she did. In fact the crackers in the kits were so good I kept stealing them when she wasn’t looking. 🙂 We got the PB&J, the turkey and cheese and the pizza kit. According to her they are yummy. Hallelujah!
She liked picking them out in the store (although her very tall sister had to help) but told me she hopes they come out with more options. I honestly am going to pick them up all summer for our trips to the park and the town beach and maybe even to the amusement park we have season passes for when we tailgate especially if they keep going on sale for $3, such a great deal.
I really liked them for even myself, since I have fibro I have to watch nitrates and preservatives too, Lu and I pretty much eat the same things. It would be awesome if they come out with wraps, etc for the older kids too. I honestly was impressed, it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to choices for my kids. I felt good sending it with her to school yesterday knowing that I didn’t have to worry about extra ingredients not listed that could hurt her. Lu’s favorite was the PB&J she said. She made little sandwiches. 🙂
