Living with Chronic Pain: Fresh Assist Spray
For a lot of people with fibro, IBS is one of the worst symptoms you have to deal with besides the pain. I am not sure what the science is behind it but a lot of us are affected by it. The invention of flushable wipes has helped the issue a lot. I cannot tell you how embarrassing it is to have an IBS attack when you are away from home knowing how bad it can be and not wanting to use up an entire roll of toilet paper to deal with the issue. It can cause toilet backups etc. Then all the reports came out that the flushable wipes could be bad for septic and sewer systems. Wonderful. You finally find something that works…….
When I heard of Fresh Assist I was pretty excited to try it. You use it on the toilet paper you are already using anyway and it has a cute name of “tush cleaner”. It is eco-friendly, cleansing, soothing, non-irritating product sprayed on toilet tissue to improve the backside cleaning process after going number two. It’s an alternative to wet wipes and can be used with many brands of toilet paper. We use thinner toilet paper so I just fold it over to make it a little thicker. If you spray too much it will disintegrate the paper.
I have used for a few weeks now in my house and have brought it with me when I am out on errands. I think it’s a pretty neat product. What I was most impressed about is that the Fresh Assist spray actually helped with that horrible, rough toilet paper they use in public bathrooms. You know what I am talking about….the tp that you swear is just paper towels shrunk? It softened that toilet paper so it’s tolerable. Another feature I really like about the spray is the really light smell. When you use flushable wipes they are extremely perfumey. The Fresh Assist spray has a really light scent. Almost indetectable. I tried the Cooling Chamomile scent. It really is cooling which is great because sometimes when you are having a IBS flare you need help with irritation. I am extremely sensitive to chemicals and the spray did not cause any problems with my skin.
About the Product
- Cleans your backside great – perfect for camping, beach trips and any place where toilets are septic
- Nice fragrance & soothing – two scents: Soothing Lavender and Cooling Chamomile
- Plumbing & Septic Safe
- Best flushable “wipe” for septic and sewer systems
- Super simple, just spray on toilet paper
- You get about 400 sprays from a 2 oz. bottle – at least 30-40 days of consistent use.
- Perfect for potty training. (My opinion)
I wish I would have had this when I was potty training all my kids. It would’ve been nice just to have small spray bottle in my purse instead of a giant wipes container. I really am loving how discreet it is, much less obvious than a baggie full of wipes in my purse. I am definitely going to be buying a few bottles for Girl Scout Camp next year because we can’t use wipes due to the septic and trust me on this, it can get a bit sketchy in the middle of the woods in the latrines.
I highly recommend this for people who suffer from IBS, chronic pain, are bedridden and especially pregnant women! If you have difficulty with small/large movements and pain Fresh Assist Spray will cut down the time you spend in the bathroom plus limit the movements that can trigger pain attacks. Great product, great price!!
