Peanut butter dog treats are a staple in our house! The best part of this recipe is that you can use it all year long! Find fun silicone molds for every occasion!
This month we made Easter Egg shaped peanut butter dog treats! Our dogs love this recipe and we even freeze them in the summer for a cool treat. This is a super simple, easy recipe.
Use your favorite coconut oil and dogs favorite peanut butter! You can make it in batches so you don’t run out, just make sure you refrigerate them. They will melt if left out.
Supplies:
- Your favorite egg-shaped silicone mold
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup organic virgin coconut oil
(We use this Paw Print Mold for regular dog treats)
Directions for Peanut Butter Dog Treats:
- Add the peanut butter and coconut oil to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 60 seconds or until completely melted.
2. Remove from microwave and stir well.
3. Pour the melted mixture into each egg-shaped mold, filling almost to the top.
4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until hardened.
5. Serve in moderation by giving these treats to your dog only once or twice per week. *
*Keep these peanut butter Easter egg treats stored in the refrigerator as they can easily melt if left out at room temperature.
