Play music on your speakers, new or old, wirelessly from your phone, laptop or tablet. Chromecast Audio uses WiFi instead of Bluetooth, you can stream crystal clear hi-res sound. Long gone are the days where you have to wire all the rooms for sound. We are no longer a society that accepts being tethered in one place. All you have to have is an outlet and a speaker. We even used it with old, kind of expensive, computer speakers that have been gathering dust. It sounded amazing. As long as the speaker has a compatible aux input you are good to go.

And while streaming, you can still text or call without interrupting what’s playing or draining your battery. This is awesome by the way. I love how much it conserves my battery!! Using the Bluetooth is a huge battery sucker and just using the wifi has a minimal impact. I can listen to my music longer while I am working. It’s amazing!!! You also can name the device so it’s easy to find which one you are looking to cast on. We named our Chromcast Audio Devices Beep and Boop. ( We are in a bit of a sci-fi kick right now)

Use Chromecast Audio to stream over Wi-Fi which has many advantages over Bluetooth including higher sound quality. It really does have superior sound quality. I was skeptical, but it really impressed me. There isn’t any skipping of the sounds or crackling at all.

I use all of these on a daily basis when I am working, so it’s been incredible. Normally I notice a difference in sound quality from app to app but the sound never ceased to be amazing. Now you can easily fill every room in your home with synchronous music. Just group the Chromecast Audio devices together so you can listen to the same song on multiple speakers. My husband LOVES this feature. I can be working in the living room and he can be cooking in the kitchen, both listening to the same music.
