Saving Money Through Online Shopping and Why I Would Go for It.

Shopping malls are one of the biggest indications of how successful capitalism has become in today’s society. The Mall of America, for instance, is one of the biggest shopping malls in the globe in terms of enclosed floor area. The mall’s floor area measures an astounding 4.2 million square feet or 96.4 acres. The mall has over 400 stores and traffic of 35 to 40 million visitors per annum.

But aside from the mall’s sizes, what’s more astounding is the sheer number of them. Travelling between my home and my work place, I come across 4 major malls and countless convenience and grocery stores between them, which are pretty much mini shopping malls.

That’s how much we love to shop and based on the number of malls in the country, we can pretty much say that almost everybody does. However, malls are not the only way to shop for the things that we need and want. A fast rising and more convenient way to shop nowadays is online shopping. And I would take it over shopping in malls every time, especially when I’m saving money. Here’s why.

    Anytime, Anyplace
One of the best things about shopping online is that you can do it anytime and anywhere you are. There is no need to go through heavy traffic in the middle of the night and waste gas only to find out that the mall is already closed. And because you do not have to leave the house, it also means that you are saving money from gas of commuting costs. Shipping is either free or very cheap and you can usually get it in the same day so time and additional costs are hardly issues.

    Informed Decisions
Shopping online implies that you have an internet connection while you are doing so. Therefore, all the handy information that you need is just a couple of buttons and clicks away. First, you can afford to compare the products across different online shops. Second, you can easily access customer, user, and professional reviews there are about the product. Third, you can easily access similar items from different manufacturers which give you options that are potentially unavailable in shopping malls.

    Best Prices
Because online spaces tend to be cheaper than mall spaces, online shops offer cheaper rates. You may be surprised at how many retailers order their products from online shops and resell them at an increased rate. And since some of the online shops are officially owned by the manufacturer, you are guaranteed of original products with warranty.

    Easy Discounts
Unlike going on shopping malls and fighting through a battlefield of angry moms during sale days, discounts are easy when shopping online. For instance, discounts for Target are regularly available through Target coupons. The same goes for other major online shops like Amazon, Kohls, Sears, Staples, and so on. All you have to is to find the appropriate website on where to get them. Many websites like the one provided on the link has a huge collection of discount coupons that can be used for free. No gimmicks or hidden mechanics are involved.

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
