Life Without a Supporting Cast
Guest Post by Emleigh Wlash
Imagine your favorite movie without a supporting cast. Would it be as enjoyable? Would Star Wars be as great a film without C3P0 or R2D2? What about your favorite TV show? Would you still love True Blood as much without Sam or Jason? Probably not. The same thing is true for books. A story can still be told without a supporting cast, but having additional people provides additional points of view and makes a story more rounded and fulfilling. Let me tell you a little bit about some of the secondary characters from “A Chance of Fate”.
Eric Vanderlaw: Eric is Chance’s best friend. He and Chance own the local gym in Dominion Creek. When all goes awry in Chance’s life, Eric is his voice of reason. Like Chance, he is a werewolf. He was not born into the Dominion Creek pack, but he and Chance have a long history together, starting from their army days. Because of their strong friendship, Eric moved into the DC pack.
Dane Dawson: Dane is Stephanie’s best friend. Like Eric and Chance, Stephanie and Dane onw a business together as well. The internet café they own is not ready for business yet but it’s getting close. Dane is a human, and he is gay. He and Stephanie met while they were attending college. He helped Stephanie learn to trust again after her failed marriage. He’s very protective of her so he and Chance a hard time accepting each of their roles in her life. Don’t worry…Steph can handle both of them!
Pete Robertson: Pete is the pack Alpha. He started out as the pack Beta, and he is very old, like so many werewolves. He’s a strong leader, and is liberal minded when it comes to moving the pack forward…much to the dismay of some of the pack council. One old concept Pete does believe in, however, is the true mate sentiment. He is very supportive of his pack members finding their true mate regardless of whom or what their mate may be. He is also quite fond of putting the council in their place when he as to.
There are several more secondary characters that make up the town of Dominion Creek, and support Chance and Stephanie’s story. Without them, their tale would be flat; their lives boring.
To learn about these and other secondary characters in Dominion Creek, make sure to get a copy of “A Chance of Fate” at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
