When we received the T3 Source Filter Shower head I was super impressed with the sleek design of it. We just moved into our new house and have had NOTHING but problems. That’s another post coming though. The water in this house, because it was winterized, is not great. It’s slowly getting better but I have to tell you, I am glad we have the T3 Source. We had a regular shower head and the effect was not great. It didn’t have any cool settings and the water felt really hard. I actually prefer hard water from living in New England for so long, but this was even a little too hard for my tastes. As soon as we installed it (SUPER easy by the way) all of us noticed a difference. Not just in our hair, but our skin also. My entire family has some form of dermatitis or psoriasis. Our skin is very sensitive as a whole and we react very quickly to changes in our environment, sometimes it’s really bad. The level of dermatitis in my kids has gone down dramatically. Psoriasis that I have had for a few weeks is now finally healing. Crazy, but true. I have noticed that my hair feels like there is less build up in it and it’s a lot lighter then normal. Both of my daughters hair has been the same way. That was pretty much by the second shower that we, the girls, began noticing the difference. I am very curious over the next few weeks if we will really start noticing how much of an affect the chlorine in the water was affecting us.
Being boys, both my son and husband haven’t noticed the hair aspect but more are fascinated with the different settings on the shower head. We all have our favorites but agree that the mist one is a little much. It makes our shower curtain fly up and gets a little “hairy”. The setting furthest to the left is my favorite. I have fibromyalgia and the middle jets hits my back in the perfect way. It’s very relaxing, which is hugely important when you have fibro. Showers are taxing as it is when you have it.
I went into this review skeptical at best. I have tried quite a few “revolutionary” shower heads that supposedly would help my kids skin conditions with very weak results. So far this one has delivered every promise it makes. I wish the filters weren’t quite as expensive as they are ($25 every 3-6 months) but I guess if I have to spend less on skin creams it will pay off in the end. I was super impressed by this shower head. If your family has frizzy hair or skin issues it’s worth checking it out.
