The holiday season is upon us! It’s a fun, stressful time. I love going shopping in the city of Chicago during December to see all the people, light and festivities going on!

Take the stress out of holiday shopping - Sit back and let someone else do the driving.

Take the stress out of holiday shopping with UBER

I was introduced to Uber last year. I was blown away at how easy it was and couldn’t believe how quick you can get a ride in the city. Uber puts their drivers through a thorough screening process so I feel a little safer than using a cab. I have had my share of great cab drivers but also have had some shady ones too! Uber takes that stress away. You have a million things to think about during the holidays. I have found that using Uber to get around is just so simple and takes one less stress away. My back tends to get really bad with arthritis this time of year so I just sit back and let someone else do the driving.

How to use Uber during the holidays:

    1. Mall shopping.  Finding a parking space is THE WORST part of holiday shopping. It’s nearly impossible and can be dangerous to your health! Don’t get caught out in the cold. Wait for your ride in the warmth of the mall.
    2. Pick up relatives or kids. There is nothing worse than realizing in the middle of cooking your holiday dinner that you forgot to pick the college kid up at the train station or gram at the airport. Epic fail. Send Uber out to get them. You won’t have to circle the airport or train station waiting for them to arrive!
    3. Holiday traveling. I don’t know about you but I don’t like to drink and drive. I had relatives that were killed by a drunk driver and no matter what, it’s never ok with me. I also like to enjoy a glass or two of wine at my holiday parties. It’s a win-win. I get to enjoy myself without worrying about how I am going to get home. Plus it’s safe. Uber tracks all of their cars. You know you will get home safe and sound.
    4. Grocery shopping. If you are single, live in the city, have no car or don’t drive getting enough groceries for your holiday get together can be a struggle. Pair a handy dandy grocery cart with a Uber ride and you will be able to get groceries from the store to your house or apartment in the snap of you fingers.

    About jen @craftymomof3

I am a "crafty" mom of 3 who has been blogging for 10+ years. I’ve been a product reviewer/influencer on and off, but mostly just write about life and food I love. I’m a dyslexic, an extreme book addict, a total nerd, a fangirl, and a paranormal enthusiast. I am a New Englander at heart but I currently live in the MidWest. I am obsessed with the ocean, food, tech, books, anything supernatural, and although I am hopelessly sarcastic...I am a softy. Oh, and I like coffee. A LOT.
